Delve into Tam Giang lagoon, the largest wetland of Southeast Asia, famous for photogenic scenes and exotic lifestyle. Relax on a poetic sampan ride amid floating villages, aquaculture systems and entertain with unusual fishing techniques. Continue by foot to admire the rusticity of fishing and farming villages, its greenery and pure simplicity before landing on a farm-to-table dinner with your fresh catch.
Expanded over 22,000ha, Tam Giang literally “three rivers”, is a system of fived interconnected lagoons stretching from the north to south of Hue. Lying between freshwater basins and the ocean, this wetland area offers various ecosystems with high biodiversity and are worth exploring. We run the tour at a quiet corner in the lagoon, just 30 minutes out of Hue city. We make use of motorized sampans of the fishermen and enhance them with proper sitting and life vest. This provides safe and authentic cruises while helping generate more direct income for involved fishermen
Exploring the lagoon with plenty of photographing opportunities while participating in exciting immersive experiences are very important. In the sunny season (March to August), the tour departs in the afternoon to enjoy a nice sunset and include a dinner at a local farm. From September to February, it is better to take the morning tour (8:00-14:00) and include lunch. The morning tour will include a market visit which is very lively and authentic.
The best time to explore Tam Giang lagoon is from March to August. In this season, an early sunrise tour of 4 hours (5:30-9:30) is also a good option for early bird and photography enthusiasts.
Child rates are applied for children 6 to 11 years old. Children below 6 years are free, please make a note in the booking. For families with many children, we recommend using the Enquiry Form to request the most favorable Family Offer.

Everything was excellent. Great guide and interesting photos.
Florence & Didier, 16th of June, 2022.
Our tour with Tuan was extraordinary. We enjoyed all our experiences that we were educational, historical & special for me & Lori. Tuan was friendly & easy to understand. He mixed personal stories with the stories of this city & country. We would recommend this customized experience to anyone wanting a tour without the tourists.
